Bull's Eye

green mountains are blue
clear waters look blue
words seem a blur
like an unfocused picture

i thought the movie was going to have a happy ending
i thought i had enough cigarettes in my pocket
extra chili turned out too hot
extra money made me not work

walking off foot paths
into the green grass that was yellow
the red eye went clear
and the bull's eye became bigger
